Poor seating posture can lead to chronic discomfort and affect essential functions like circulation, digestion, and breathing. While a properly tailored wheelchair forms the foundation of good posture, standard seating alone cannot always correct postural deviations. Tendercare supplies Kinetic Balance belts and harnesses engineered to stabilise alignment and enhance daily comfort.

Chest Harness

Chest Harnesses

Combines dynamic comfort with clinical stability, available in stretch and reinforced non-stretch variants.

Stretch Options:
  • Standard Stretch: Wide surface area to evenly distribute chest pressure.
  • X-Chest Stretch: Compact contact area for focused, central support.
  • Zipper Stretch: Central zipper for effortless seating transfers.
Non-Stretch Options:
  • Flex-Control System: Specially designed for managing spasms/seizures; allows quick securing with a single pull.
Hip Belt

Hip Belts (2 & 4 Point)

Delivers targeted pelvic support with single/double adjustments and various buckle configurations.

Postural Challenges Resolved:
  • Posterior Pelvic Tilt: Prevents slouching and supports the lumbar.
  • Anterior Pelvic Tilt: Reduces excessive forward pelvic tipping.
  • Pelvic Rotation: Restores hip alignment to prevent seat twisting.
  • Pelvic Obliquity: Balances uneven lateral tilting.
Pelvic Harness

Pelvic Harnesses

Secures the pelvis in a neutral stance—the primary foundation for proper trunk and leg positioning.

Product Features:
  • T-Shaped Design: Anatomically shaped for stable, focused pelvic positioning.
  • Stretch & Non-Stretch: Dynamic stretch for comfort, or non-stretch for firm control.
Deviations Resolved:
  • Posterior Tilt: Prevents backward tipping and slouching.
  • Anterior Tilt: Corrects forward rotation for natural alignment.
Ankle Harness

Ankle Harnesses

Secures lower limbs directly to footrests, maintaining consistent leg alignment throughout the day.

Key Benefits:
  • Footrest Retention: Keeps feet firmly in place, preventing slipping off footplates.
  • Optimal Alignment: Maintains proper foot positioning for overall lower-body stability.
  • Easy Adjustment: Durable hook-and-loop closures for precise fitting.

How to Measure

Posterior Pelvic Tilt:
The distance from the lateral side of one thigh to the lateral side of the other thigh shall be measured with a flexible tape measure.

Anterior Pelvic Tilt:
For a support managing anterior pelvic tilt, the distance from one lateral side of the pelvis horizontally level with the ASISs to the other lateral side at the same level shall be measured with a flexible tape measure.

Medium (M)450 - 500
Large (L)570 - 620
Extra Large (XL)670 - 720

How to Measure

Posterior Pelvic Tilt & Anterior Pelvic Tilt: The position of the pelvis should be assessed by measuring the distance between the two Anterior Superior Iliac Spines (ASIS).

Size Measurement (mm)
